MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311085596 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 14, 2023, for 'straylight cover fixation assembly for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Manjunath Huggi; Axel Schmidt; and Aditya Huddar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure elaborates upon a straylight cover (104) fixation assembly (100) for a vehicle. The assembly (100) comprises a carrier plate (102) configured to be removably fitted to a windshield of the vehicle. The carrier plate (102) further comprises a cut-out section (C) at a first side of the carrier plate (102), wherein the cut-out section (C) has a predefined dimension selected based on a shape of the straylight cover (104) to be attached to the carrier plate (102). The carrier plate (102) is configured to seamlessly and securely accommodate the straylight cover (104) in the cut-out section (C) such that at least one side (104-2) of the straylight cover (104) remains unenclosed by a body of the carrier plate (102)."
