MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134648 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'stray-animal treatment and care system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A stray-animal treatment and care system, comprises of a body 101 equipped with multiple tank-treads 102 for mobility, the body 101 being sectioned into dedicated compartments 103 for storing medicines, sprays, and food items, a touch-interactive display panel 104 to provide input specifications regarding stray animal profiles, medical conditions, and treatment plans, a three-pin gripping means 105 to retrieve medicine from compartments 103 and insert medicine into food items, a hyperspectral imaging unit 107 for capturing visual, near-infrared, and thermal data of stray animal, an analysis module to analyse injuries, skin conditions, and overall health, a plurality of five-bar linkage arrangement 108 equipped with trimming units 116, scrubbing brushes 117 and cleaning agent dispensers 118 for performing medical treatment, hair trimming, and cleaning of affected areas, and a stowable spring-release boom 109 to securely lift, hold, or gently restrain stray animals during medical examination or treatment without causing distress."
