MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024885 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'storage assistive device for sun visor.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjeet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A storage assistive device for sun visor, comprising a frame 1 having a first and second portion installed on a sun visor of a vehicle, a camera 2 detects positioning of frame 1 on sun visor via a user, a motorized clipper 3 grips sun visor as a means of securing frame 1 on sun visor, a curved plate 4 pivoted at second portion for hanging a sunglass on plate 4, an electromagnet adheres plate 4 with frame 1 for locking plate 4, a sliding unit 5 translates sunglass in proximity to user's hand for facilitating user to easily access sunglass, a primary LDR detects light intensity of surrounding of frame 1, a robotic link 7 positions a suction cup 8 on a fixed surface for adhering link 7 on surface, followed by pulling of sun visor for blocking sunlight from falling on user."
