MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067870 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on July 16, for 'steel sheet and member, and methods of producing same.'
Inventor(s) include Tobata Junya; and Kimura Hideyuki.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a steel sheet which has a TS of 1320 MPa or more, and is excellent in terms of toughness and collision characteristics after coating and baking, and stretch flangeability. The steel sheet has a predetermined component composition, and has a structure that has an area fraction of tempered martensite of 95% or more, an area fraction of retained austenite of less than 3%, and a total area fraction of ferrite and bainitic ferrite of less than 5%. The grain boundary density of 20 or more in the tempered martensite is 1.0 m/m2 or more, and the structure satisfies the following formula (1). (1): KAM(S)/KAM(C) 1.00."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 21, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/041850.
