MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090845 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Sept. 23, for 'steel sheet, member, and method for producing same.'
Inventor(s) include Chiba Tadachika; Kimura Hideyuki; Furuya Shinichi; and Matsui Yoichiro.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a steel sheet having excellent ductility, hole expandability, and chemical conversion treatability and having a tensile strength of 780 MPa; a member; and a method for producing same. The steel sheet has a component composition containing, by mass%, C, Si, Mn, P, S, sol. Al, and N in predetermined ranges and satisfying expression (1), and has a steel structure in which the area ratio of polygonal ferrite or the like is within a predetermined range. [Pm], which is the maximum concentration of P within 1 m from the surface of the steel sheet in the thickness direction, is at least 0.025 mass% and satisfies expression (2). Expression (1): [Si]/[Mn] = 0.35 Expression (2): [Pm]/[P] = 1.5."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/011161.
