MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617011248 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Feb. 3, for 'steel material and method for manufacturing same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a steel material having excellent cold forgeability. This steel material has a predetermined component composition and a structure in which the area ratio of martensite is 10.0% or less with the remainder comprising at least bainite, wherein the number density of sulfide-based inclusions having an equivalent circle radius of 1-20 m is at least 10.0/mm2, and the number density of sulfide-based inclusions having an equivalent circle radius of at least 1 mm is at most 0.10/mm2."
