MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517071655 A) filed by Air Products And Chemicals, Inc., Allentown, U.S.A., on July 28, for 'steam-hydrocarbon reforming with low steam production.'

Inventor(s) include Farrokhpanah, Sonia; Forester, Kelly Ann; Graham, David Ross; and Schoonover, Michelle.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Syngas may be produced in a reformer in a manner that minimizes the steam produced for export by utilizing heat from the syngas stream to produce and superheat steam upstream of the water gas shift reactor. The superheated steam may be combined with the reformer feed stream to improve overall thermal efficiency."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/015485.
