MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611005712 A) filed by Dr. Garima Thakur; and Kusum Yadav, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 20, for 'statistical normalization framework and method for variability control in multi stage biological protocols.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Garima Thakur; and Kusum Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a statistical normalization framework and method for controlling variability in multi stage biological protocols. The invention provides a framework comprising a defined sequence of biological stages, stage specific reference datasets defining reference values and acceptable deviation ranges for quantitative output parameters, deviation evaluation logic for determining deviation magnitude relative to the reference values, normalization coefficients selected based on categorized deviation magnitude bands, and stage linkage rules for applying the normalization coefficients to controllable parameters of subsequent stages prior to execution. The method comprises measuring output parameters at completion of each stage, comparing the measured values with statistically established reference values, categorizing deviation magnitude, and applying proportional normalization adjustments to subsequent stages to compensate accumulated upstream variability. The invention operates without modifying biological reagents, organisms, or reaction chemistry and improves reproducibility, robustness, and inter run consistency of biological protocols across research, diagnostic, and industrial applications."
