MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050462 A) filed by Anvesh Ananthula; and Dhanalaxmi Ananthula, Vidyaranyapuri, Telangana, on April 21, for 'stacked electrochemical module with coated current collectors.'
Inventor(s) include Anvesh Ananthula; and Dhanalaxmi Ananthula.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrochemical energy storage module is disclosed comprising a plurality of electrochemical units arranged in a stacked configuration and electrically connected in series through bipolar current collectors. Each bipolar current collector includes a metallic substrate and a dissimilar conductive coating configured to support electrochemical activity on opposing surfaces under different potential environments. A compressible fibrous separator is disposed between adjacent electrochemical units. A structural adhesive is applied along a periphery of the stacked configuration and cured under compression such that compression of the separator defines a substantially uniform inter-electrode spacing while the adhesive forms a hermetic, electrolyte-impermeable peripheral seal. A liquid electrolyte is introduced into the stacked configuration and enclosed within the sealed structure. The architecture eliminates discrete inter-cell electrical interconnects, promotes uniform current distribution, and enables compact planar electrochemical modules suitable for high-voltage applications."
