MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541016551 A) filed by LR Research Laboratories Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Feb. 25, 2025, for 'stable biostimulant composition and method of preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Bijukumar Gopinathan Pillai; Mahesh Masna; Alagasamy Kuppusamy; Mayur Mohanrao Aitawade; and Chetan Kumar Dinesh Jawale.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a storage-stable soluble liquid biostimulant composition comprising N-Acetyl Thiazolidine-4-Carboxylic Acid (NATCA) and a method for preparing the same. The composition comprises NATCA in combination with one or more amino acids, optionally one or more micronutrients, at least one agrochemically acceptable excipient, and one or more water-miscible solvents, wherein the composition is formulated as a soluble liquid. The invention further provides a defined sequential addition process for preparing the composition, wherein controlled incorporation of NATCA, amino acids, micronutrients, carbonate source, stabilizers, surfactants, and antifoaming agents prevents crystallization, sedimentation, haziness, effervescence, and phase separation. The disclosed composition exhibits simultaneous chemical and physical stability, maintaining NATCA content within 5% of the initial concentration and remaining substantially free from crystallization, sedimentation, and layer separation during storage. The formulation achieves storage stability without the use of external pH modifying agents."
