MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641008093 A) filed by Bizcovery Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Jan. 27, for 'stabilized vitamin c cosmetic additive composition.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sarmistha Saha; Ms. Anandmayi Priyadarshini; and Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cosmetic additive composition comprising Vitamin C in an amount of 5 to 10 wt.%, sodium gluconate in an amount of 0.5 to 1 wt.%, trehalose in an amount of 2 to 5 wt.%, and hydroxyethyl urea in an amount of 2 to 5 wt.%. The Vitamin C comprises a blend of ascorbic acid in an amount of up to 3 wt.% and ethyl ascorbic acid in an amount of up to 9 wt.%. The cosmetic additive composition is configured for incorporation into skincare formulations, including serums, creams, lotions, gels, emulsions, or essences, to improve Vitamin C stability and skin-brightening performance. The invention further provides a method of preparing the cosmetic additive composition by sequentially combining the components in an aqueous medium under controlled stirring, temperature, and pH conditions to obtain a homogeneous composition."
