MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641043244 A) filed by Vignan's Foundation For Science, Technology & Research, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on April 4, for 'stability-indicating uplc method for simultaneous estimation of abemaciclib and olaparib.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sathish Kumar Konidala; Dr. Grandhi Srikar; and Mrs. Kamma Harsha Sri.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A simple, sensitive, and stability-indicating UPLC method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of Abemaciclib and Olaparib in bulk and tablet dosage forms. Chromatographic separation was achieved using a Waters X-Bridge C18 column with a mobile phase comprising 0.1% orthophosphoric acid, acetonitrile, and methanol (70:20:10 v/v/v) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, with detection at 218 nm. The method was validated as per ICH guidelines and demonstrated excellent specificity, linearity (R 0.999), accuracy (98-102% recovery), precision (%RSD 2%), and robustness. LOD and LOQ values confirmed high sensitivity at microgram levels. Forced degradation studies under acidic, alkaline, oxidative, thermal, photolytic, and hydrolytic conditions established the stability-indicating nature of the method. LC-MS/MS characterization enabled identification of degradation products. Dissolution studies of the extended-release formulation showed consistent and controlled drug release over 24 hours."
