MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517089551 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Sept. 19, for 'ssb recycle via ue-side beam prediction.'
Inventor(s) include Li, Qiaoyu; Luo, Tao; and Taherzadeh Boroujeni, Mahmoud.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, a UE receives, from a network entity via a first medium access control (MAC) -control element (MAC-CE) or first downlink control information (DCI), a first synchronization signal block (SSB) indication. Based on the first SSB indication, the UE refrains from transmitting one or more SSBs. The one or more SSBs are based on a radio resource control (RRC) configuration. The UE then determines, based on the first SSB indication, a first rate-matching pattern for a first DL signal for the UE. The first DL signal is allowed to be scheduled overlapping with a set of transmission resources originally occupied by the one or more SSBs. The method improves the efficiency of wireless communication by reducing SSB overhead, enhancing scheduling flexibility, and improving the utilization of transmission resources."
The patent application was internationally filed on June 09, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/099364.
