MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641040930 A) filed by Slept Research & Development India Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, on March 31, for 'spring-driven adjustable duvet tensioning system.'
Inventor(s) include Mohammed Abdul Hannan Ashraf; and Sai Harsha Dommeti.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable bed assembly comprising a bed frame structural member, an actuatable mattress section, and a duvet tensioning module mounted to the bed frame. The module comprises a housing, an inner shaft, a spring, a spool, and a flexible tension member configured for attachment to a duvet. In preferred embodiments the module has a constant-force spring of spring steel strip producing 75 to 300 N mm torque over 4 to 5 rotations, a spool of 15 to 25 mm radius, and a bedding-attachment interface, applying 5 to 15 N pulling force over 500 to 700 mm stroke, with free rotation in both directions and no one-way locking mechanism. A method of maintaining duvet positional coverage is also disclosed."
