MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026171 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'spill-proof food storage device for children.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A spill-proof food storage device for children, comprises of a ring-shaped body 1 configured with a cup-shaped member 2 for accommodating food to be consumed by a child, a pair of cavities 3 are carved on the body 1 where a cushion pad is fabricated for providing comfort to the child's hands while gripping the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting type of food item in the member 2, a motorized iris lid 5 to close for preventing spillage of the liquid food item from the member 2, a motorized iris pore 6 for consuming the liquid food item, a iris pore to open for allowing the child to consume the liquid food item, and a first C-shaped unit 8 configured with a primary pair of motorized ball and socket joints 9 to orient the member 2."
