MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020699 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'spice storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Alpana Joshi; Manoj Kumar; Deepa Rana; and Preeti Garg.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A spice storage device, comprising a L-shaped frame 1 installed with a set of plates 2 arranged in a parallel orientation, a set of cavities 3 carved plates 2 engaged with mouth portion of detachable jars 4 dedicated towards storage of different spices, a touch enabled screen installed on frame 1 for enabling a user to select one of spices required by user, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light 5 crafted on each of jars 4 to illuminate for alerting user to positioning an auxiliary container underneath determined jar, a motorized slider 6 for translating plates 2 to allow user to position auxiliary container underneath determined jar, a proximity sensor positioned on each of jars 4 for detecting presence of auxiliary container underneath jars 4 and a motorized iris lid configured with determined jar to open for dispensing user-defined amount of spice within auxiliary container."
