MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024880 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'spectacle accommodating and management device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A spectacle accommodating and management device, comprising a platform 1 attached with roof within a four-wheeler-vehicle by means of multiple suction cups 2, a camera 3 mounted over the platform 1 to detect a spectacle, a slider 4 fabricated in between the platform 1 and a U-shaped link 5 to slide the link 5 for accommodating the spectacle, two clippers 6 attached on the platform 1 via two ball and socket joints for getting positioned in proximity of temples of the spectacles, a flap 11 attached with platform 1 via a drawer arrangement to maintain folding position of spectacle's temples, a screen 7 installed over the platform 1 to receive input commands, a speaker 8 installed over the platform 1 to notify user to wear the spectacles, two U-shaped plates 9 attached over the platform 1 for cleaning the lenses via a fabric wrapped over the plates 9."
