MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055853 A) filed by Google Llc, Mountain View, U.S.A., on June 10, for 'specificity aware teacher model and student model based on large language model.'

Inventor(s) include Khin, Kaung Mon; Fitzick, Daniel William; and Sun, Yi.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for using a large language model (LLM) to generate a specificity labeled query-to-document scored teacher training set for training a teacher model. The teacher model, in turn, in sued to generate a specificity labeled query-to-document scored student training set for training a student model. The student model is ensemble trained, using the student model specificity training set and at least one other student model training set does not quantify the query-to-landing page specificity drift, to predict a performance of a query for a landing page."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 17, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/030477.
