MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004759 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'spare parts manufacturing device for ceiling fan.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A spare parts manufacturing device for ceiling fan includes a body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for support, a chamber 3 for storing metal granules weighed by integrated weight sensor, a heating-unit 4 assembled inside chamber 3 for melting granules, a display panel 5 to input regarding a size of fan to be manufactured, accordingly an injecting assembly 6 injects molten granules inside two molds 7 to cast a casing and blades, an nozzle 9 dispenses water inside a conduit winded around molds 7 for cooling molds 7, multiple joints 12 for opening molds 7 and dropping casted casing and blades over platform 13, an imaging-unit 14 determines successful casting and accordingly two grippers 15 positions casing and blades in vicinity to a grinding unit 16 to eliminate any uneven edges, a link 8 configured with a drilling unit 11, for drilling multiple holes on blades and casing."
