MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069969 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 23, for 'spacer shim, slot die coater and coating method using same.'
Inventor(s) include Park, Seung-Seo; Ahn, Byoung-Hoon; Lee, Hye-Ji; and Jang, Ji-Woong.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a spacer shim, a slot die coater comprising same and a coating method using same. The spacer shim comprises: a plate-shaped shim body having a predetermined width, length and thickness; and a flow path part formed as a groove recessed in the thickness direction in one surface of the shim body. The flow path part may comprise: an inflow trench having a coating solution entering in the thickness direction; a first discharge trench and a second discharge trench disposed so as to be spaced apart in the width direction and independently discharging the coating solution in the length direction; a first bending trench and a second bending trench branching from one side and the other side, respectively, of the inflow trench and extending along the width direction and the length direction; and a first connection trench and a second connection trench extending in the length direction from the first bending trench and the second bending trench, respectively, so as to communicate with the first discharge trench and the second discharge trench."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021504.
