MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096717 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 7, for 'sounding reference signal (srs) timing and frequency adjustment for non-terrestrial network (ntn) positioning.'
Inventor(s) include Saha, Chiranjib; Manolakos, Alexandros; Rico Alvarino, Alberto; and Liu, Le.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE may receive a timing advance sub-grouping (TASG) configuration indicating multiple TASG identifiers and associated time windows. The UE may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration indicating multiple SRS resources within a same component carrier and associated with the TASG identifiers. The UE may transmit a first portion of the SRS resources within a first time window associated with a first TASG identifier of the TASG identifiers based on a first timing advance (TA) value. The UE may transmit a second portion of the SRS resources within a second time window associated with a second TASG identifier of the TASG identifiers based on a second TA value that is determined based on a TA adjustment value or the first TA value."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/022234.
