MUMBAI, India, April 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517014977 A) filed by Gast Manufacturing, Inc., Benton Harbor, U.S.A., on Feb. 21, for 'sound reduction device for rocking piston compressors.'
Inventor(s) include Righa, Righa, M; and Otte, William.
The application for the patent was published on April 11, under issue no. 15/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A head assembly for a rocking piston compressor comprises a head plate (50) having at least one inlet (84), at least one silencer port (88), an air tube port (100), and an exhaust port (96). The head assembly comprises a valve plate (60) coupled to the head plate (50) and provided with a sound attenuation chamber (134) and an exhaust chamber (140). The head assembly also has at least one silencer (90) selectably coupled to the head plate silencer port (88) and disposed within the sound attenuation chamber (134). The head assembly also comprises an air tube (102) having a first end (104) selectably coupled to the head plate air tube port (100) and a second end (106) disposed within the valve plate exhaust chamber (140), the air tube (102) being configured to accelerate air flow from the second end (106) toward the first end (104)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/075323.
