MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414104786 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on Dec. 31, 2024, for 'sound insulation structure of transmission for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Shota Sato.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The sound insulation structure of the transmission (2) includes a transfer rear case (8), the rear sound insulation cover (14) attached to a rear wall (8C) of the transfer rear case (8), and an oil-filling boss portion (8E) having formed at its distal end portion an oil filler port (8b) for oil, and protruding to the rear (i.e., outward) from the rear wall (8C) of the transfer rear case (8). The oil-filling boss portion (8E) penetrates through the rear sound insulation cover (14), and a lower peripheral edge (8n) of the oil filler port (8b) protrudes outward beyond the rear sound insulation cover (14)."
