MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544079921 A) filed by Alstom Holdings, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, France, on Aug. 22, 2025, for 'sound absorption plate configured for sound absorption in a rail vehicle hvac unit.'

Inventor(s) include Joveniaux Philippe.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The sound absorption plate (10) configured for sound absorption in a rail vehicle HVAC unit (15) extends along an elevation direction (Y1) between a planar inner wall (65) intended to be in contact with an air flow (F, 40) flowing in or from the HVAC unit and a planar outer wall (70), and comprises a plurality of resonator units (75), each resonator unit comprising a resonating chamber (85) having a void inner volume (V), and a cylindrical internal neck (90) extending along the elevation direction (Y1) between a first opening (95) flush with the inner wall (65) and a second opening (100) located inside the resonating chamber (85)."
