MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074525 A) filed by Sortera Technologies, Inc., Markle, U.S.A., on Aug. 5, for 'sorting of zorba.'
Inventor(s) include Kumar, Nalin; and Garcia, Jr, Manuel Gerardo.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A material handling system sorts mixed scrap materials utilizing a combination of a spectroscopy sensor, such as x-ray fluorescence, and a vision system that implements an artificial intelligence system in order to identify or classify each of the materials, which are then sorted into separate groups based on such an identification or classification. The system is capable of sorting between materials typically found within Zorba, Zebra, and Twitch."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/017756.
