MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098815 A) filed by Kuraray Co. Ltd., Okayama, Japan, on Oct. 13, for 'solution, dispersant, method for producing vinyl compound polymer, and method for producing solution.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are a solution, a method for producing such a solution, and the like, the solution being highly stable regardless of the alcohol content and excellent in the performance as a dispersant for suspension polymerization. The solution includes a vinyl alcohol-based polymer (A) having a saponification degree of 30-80 mol% and a polymerization degree of 100-700, a compound (B), and an alcohol (C). The compound (B) is represented by formula (1). In formula (1), X is an oxygen atom or the like. Y is a group having a carbon number of 1-10. Z is one type selected from the group consisting of carboxyl groups, sulfo groups, phosphate groups, salts thereof, and anions thereof. R 1 is an acyl group or a hydrocarbon group."
