MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098780 A) filed by Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aichi, Japan, on Oct. 13, for 'solid-state battery, and solid-state battery manufacturing method.'

Inventor(s) include Kaneko, Sakina; Li, Ximeng; Kodama, Masashi; Matsunaga, Tomoya; Shiotani, Shinya; and Asakura, Ryo.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A solid-state battery according to the present disclosure is provided with a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer in the stated order. The negative electrode layer has a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer in the stated order in a direction from the negative electrode layer toward the solid electrolyte layer side. When the solid-state battery is fully charged, the negative electrode active material layer has a Li layer, a Li-Mg layer or a Li-Mg-X layer, and a Li-X layer in the stated order in said direction. The X is at least one selected from the group consisting of Sn, Zn, and Al. The Li-X layer is formed on the surface of the solid electrolyte layer."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008331.
