MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517020648 A) filed by Topaz Limited Liability Company, Moscow, on March 7, for 'solid oxide fuel cell battery and method of manufacturing same.'

Inventor(s) include Levchenko Egor Aleksandrovich; Timerbulatov Ruslan Sergeevich; Gvozdkov Ilya Alekseevich; and Sivak Aleksandr Vladimirovich.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and more particularly to high temperature solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and can be used in the creation of fuel cell batteries. Claimed is a battery of tubular SOFCs that comprises SOFCs each of which is configured in the form of a tubular anode electrode substrate with electrolyte and cathode electrode layers applied thereto and a supporting plate with through openings for tubular SOFCs wherein the openings in the supporting plate have a solder disposed therein in the region in which the tubular SOFCs are mounted. An anode electrode region of at least one SOFC is disposed in an opening in the supporting plate and is connected by the supporting plate into an electrical circuit with a cathode electrode region or with a cathode current collector region of at least one of the other SOFCs a cathode electrode region of which is disposed in another opening in the supporting plate. The technical result of the invention is that of increasing the quality and reliability of tubular and in particular micro tubular SOFC batteries while simultaneously decreasing the cost of the manufacturing process by simplifying same increasing manufacturability and reducing the duration of the SOFC battery assembly process by means of combining electrical connection and sealing into a single operation using high temperature metallic solders and by means of the soldering operation itself."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/RU2023/000250.
