According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a solar-powered driver drowsiness detection and alert system intended to improve road safety. The system uses a photovoltaic solar panel as a renewable energy source to power the monitoring and alert components. A driver monitoring module, including a camera or sensor, observes facial features and eye movement patterns to detect signs of fatigue such as prolonged eye closure or abnormal blinking. The collected data is analyzed by a microcontroller or embedded processing unit to evaluate the driver's alertness level. When indicators of drowsiness are detected, the system activates an alert mechanism that may produce audible, visual, or vibration warnings to notify the driver. The invention provides an energy-efficient and practical safety solution that can be applied in different types of vehicles to help reduce accidents caused by driver fatigue."
