MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621013348 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on Feb. 6, for 'solar panel protection assistive system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A solar panel protection assistive system, comprising a frame 101 encasing multiple solar panels 102, each mounted on a motorized ball and socket joint 103 connected to a pillar 104, for optimal sunlight exposure and hotspot prevention, a monitoring unit installed on the frame 101, to scan solar panel 102 surface to determine deposition of dust, map thermal footprints for hotspot detection, and detect sunlight intensity and obstacles, a cleaning assembly installed on the frame 101, to remove the deposited dust from the solar panel 102 surface, and a sheet deployment unit 111 arranged on the frame 101, configured to cover each solar panel 102 with a fibre sheet for protection against adverse weather conditions."
