MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115475 A) filed by Nims University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 22, 2025, for 'solar-energy pharmaceutical manufacturing system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a solar-powered pharmaceutical manufacturing system (100) configured to integrate renewable energy into end-to-end drug production processes. The system comprises a solar energy capture and conversion system (101), an energy management and distribution hub (102), and an energy storage system (103) for a consistent power supply. Manufacturing units include a raw material processing unit (104), chemical synthesis and bioreactor unit (105), purification and separation unit (106), formulation and mixing unit (107), and packaging and quality control unit (108), each equipped with local energy management systems (109) to optimize consumption. A waste heat recovery system (110) and adaptive manufacturing schedule system (111) enhance efficiency, while a digital twin platform (112) enables real-time monitoring. This configuration ensures high-quality pharmaceutical production with reduced dependency on conventional energy, minimized operational costs, and improved environmental sustainability."
