The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The benefits of harvesting Solar energy are far and wide right from minor recharging of electronic devices to agricultural pumps, power production, boilers, furnaces, heating systems so on and so forth. Presently battery driven cars and e-rickshaws are being focussed upon. A particular area where the benefit of solar-energy needs to be transferred as identified by the inventor Shri Deepak Pannalal Proprietor of firm M/s J.P. DRAGS is the demand for employment generation in urban, as well as, rural areas, wherein the physically disabled and other unemployed persons alike look forward to some means for earning livelihood. In one of the embodiments of this invention, a prototype of a solar-driven light-weight three-wheeled multipurpose vehicle has been developed by the inventor featuring charging of drive batteries during sunlight while travelling also. Trickle charge is utilized for continuous charging thus obviating the total dependency on electrical power supply. Life of the batteries largely depends on the frequency of deep-discharges & recharges. In order to prevent deep-discharge suitable electronic devices have been provided to prevent deep-discharge, thus enhancing battery life. The mechanical features of the present invention include two large diameter wheels placed at fore of the vehicle over which a cargo-container-bed is fixed. Aft of the vehicle a smaller diameter robust navigation wheel is provided, having braking arrangement operated through a hand-held handle by the driver. A curved overhead canopy serves as base for installing solar panels, miscellaneous fitments & provides shade. Easily replaceable & repairable components have been used. Mandatory requirements of the Road Transport Authority have been incorporated. To sum-up a new & useful vehicle with herein described exclusive features has been developed through years of research and development by the inventor."
