MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019736 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'soil preparation device for agricultural surface.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Jai Prakash Gupta; and Dr. Sriom.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A soil preparation device for agricultural surface, encompasses a circular frame 1 attached with a tractor's wheel rim via C-shaped clamps 3 with touch sensors detecting the placement of clamps 3 with the hub and motorized hinges on the frame 1 secure the hub in the clamps 3, a LiDAR sensor measures wheel size and an expandable pulley adjusts frame 1 size, while an optical sensor tracks motion, also multiple inverted L-shaped telescopic links 4 extend from the frame 1, penetrating and pulverizing soil as the wheels rotate, an imaging unit 5 detects obstacles/debris and a robotic gripper 6 on the frame 1 picks up and deposits debris into an onboard waste chamber 7."
