MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003993 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'soil excavating device.'

Inventor(s) include Jagdeep Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A soil excavating device comprises of a cuboidal cabin 1 with track wheels 2 for movement on the ground surface, within the cabin 1 there's a sitting platform 3 for the operator, who via using joysticks 4 controls a pair of hydraulically operated arms 5 with a bucket 6 for soil excavation, the bucket 6 has multiple forged teeth 7 to penetrate the surface and collect soil during movement, the operator further releases the excavated soil by manipulating the arms 5 through the joysticks 4. In addition, a weight sensor on the bucket 6 detects the collected soil's weight, and a speaker 9 generates voice alerts to notify the user about exceeded soil release."
