MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102885 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'social internet of things (iot)-based data management system for medical iot entities.'
Inventor(s) include Manish Kumar; Dr. Kailash Chandra Juglan; Dr. Sawinder Kaur Vermani; and Dr. Pavitar Parkash Singh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A social Internet of Things (IoT)-based data management system for medical IoT entities, comprising a social interaction module 101 configured to establish relationship-based trust and cooperation, a data management module 102 configured to perform adaptive aggregation, prioritization, and compression of medical data at distributed network nodes before transmission to the cloud, a resource optimization module 103 configured to dynamically allocate computational, communication, storage, and energy resources between edge and cloud networks based on real-time processing requirements, a protocol control module 104 configured to manage communication, a security compliance module 105 configured to ensure authentication, encryption, and policy-aware data sharing across the Social IoT entity, integration of all the modules minimizes cloud bandwidth, storage, and processing overhead by enabling cooperative data handling at the edge through the Social IoT."
