MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004736 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'snoring control device.'

Inventor(s) include Bobbinpreet Kaur.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A snoring control device, comprises of a circular flexible member 1 positioned on face portion of a user while sleeping, a pair of cavities 2 to accommodate the user's ears, a camera 3 to detect orientation of member 1 on user's face, a speaker 4 to notify the user to correct the member's 1 orientation, an ultrasonic sensor to detect dimension of the user's ears, an electromagnetic springs 5 configured with each cavities 2 to stretch the member 1 for properly accommodating the ears in cavities 2, a sound sensor to detect intensity of user's snoring, a motorized roller to wrap the member 1 and close the user's mouth for reducing the snoring, an air flow detector to detect the air flow rate from the user's nose and the roller rotates accordingly to unwrap the member 1 for allowing user to breathe from mouth."
