MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020658 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'snap ring engaging/disengaging device.'

Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Naveen; Neha Rani; and Anuj Goel.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A snap ring engaging/disengaging device comprises of a frame 1 having a pair of elongated members 2 arranged in a crisscross manner, a telescopically operated holding bar 4 for enabling a user to clasp bars 4 for regulating opening and closing of members 2, a user interface installed within a computing unit accessed by user for selecting a mode, an imaging unit 5 sync with an ultrasonic sensor for capturing images and detecting distance between two ends of snap ring, a holographic projection unit 6 for projecting virtual images, a speaker 7 installed on frame 1 for assisting user, an electromagnetic spring 8 for opening members 2, a dust sensor for detecting presence of dust, a suction unit 9 for extracting dust from surrounding of ends and transferring extracted dust within a storage chamber 10 and an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor for detecting intensity of light in surrounding."
