MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087312 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'snap fastener installation device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Suhas Ballal.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A snap fastener installation device, comprising a platform 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3, developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 is mounted on platform 1 that is accessed by a user for entering command regarding initiation of a snap fastener installation on a fabric, a robotic arm 5 configured with a chamber 6 for gripping fastener from chamber 6 and positioning fastener within a curved slot 13 crafted within platform 1 in an arranged manner, a speaker 7 for notifying user to position fabric on slot 13, a camera 8 to detect successful positioning of fabric on slot 13, a telescopic pusher 10 configured with secondary link 12 to move respective link 12 in upwards and downwards direction, a hammer to apply pressure over fastener as means of securing fastener with fabric."
