MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647023634 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Feb. 27, for 'smooth transition between cameras with different frame rates.'

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for image signal processing that support smooth transitions between cameras operating at different frame rates in an image capture device. In a first aspect, a method of image processing includes receiving first image data from a first image sensor operating at a first frame rate and second image data from a second image sensor operating at a second frame rate lower than the first frame rate, the first image data comprising first image frames and the second image data comprising second image frames; determining third image frames based on the first image data and the second image data, the third image frames being intermediary frames between frames of the second plurality of image frames; and determining output image frames based on the first image frames, the second image frames. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described."
