MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010785 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'smoke exhaust device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjeev Kumar; Mohit Kumar; Ritik Yadav; Sanchit; and Manav Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smoke exhaust device, comprising a cylindrical shaped hollow body 1 developed to be installed on a fire pit, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 2 installed on the body 1 to determine flame height of fire, multiple telescopic bars 3 installed beneath the body 1 for regulating height of the body 1, a motorized induced drought (ID) fan 4 installed within the body 1 for drawing said dust, ashes and other foreign particles from the pit into the air, an anemometer 5 integrated within the body 1 for determining speed and direction of the flowing wind and a motorized ball and socket joint 6 is installed in between the rods and body 1 for tilting the body 1 in flowing direction of the wind, thereby reducing the intensity of smoke generated from burning of the woods."
