MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611054748 A) filed by Ms. Sanskriti Agarwal; Mr. Shivam Kumar; and Dr. Manish Bhardwaj, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on April 29, for 'smartvision-ai: an automated real-time animal protection and injury monitoring system.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. Sanskriti Agarwal; Mr. Shivam Kumar; and Dr. Manish Bhardwaj.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current invention reveals a real-time method for detecting animal mistreatment and injuries that uses AI and smart surveillance equipment that is connected to the Internet of Things (IoT). The system uses deep learning-based computer vision, behavioral analysis, position estimation, and anomaly detection to automatically find abusive interactions, distress behavior, and visible injuries in animals. Smart cameras and edge computing devices look for strange patterns in live video streams with very little delay. When abuse or injury is confirmed, the system sends out immediate alerts to caregivers, veterinarians, or the police and keeps event data safe for use as evidence and analysis. Through smart automated surveillance, the idea increases proactive animal protection, speeds up response time, improves welfare monitoring, and strengthens legal enforcement procedures."
