MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511131889 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 26, 2025, for 'smart yoga wellness system with multimodal physiological and biofield monitoring.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Raghav Mehra; Vinita Jarial; and Nikhil Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention introduces a smart yoga mat integrating a pressure sensor grid, IoBNT nanosensors, and quantum biofield resonance sensors for comprehensive multimodal health monitoring. The system measures posture alignment, sweat-based biochemical markers, and subtle electromagnetic variations associated with pranic energy flow. Data is processed using artificial intelligence to classify poses, evaluate stress-release levels, and map chakra alignment. Real-time corrective feedback is delivered via haptic, audio, and augmented-reality guidance, with adaptive learning based on historical session trends. Unlike conventional smart mats that focus only on posture or basic biometrics, the invention uniquely merges biomechanical, biochemical, and energetic diagnostics, enabling a holistic wellness experience aligned with authentic yoga principles."
