MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070183 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab, on Sept. 17, 2024, for 'smart writing multifunctional tool.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Shelly; Aviraj Rohilla; Ritik Singh; and Dr. Dinesh Arora.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a smart writing tool that integrates traditional writing capabilities with advanced electronic features for enhanced functionality. The tool comprises a hollow body with distinct geometrical profiles at each end. The first end with a circular profile includes a nib or tip for writing, a rubber grip for comfort, and a plurality of buttons for controlling power and audio playback speed. The second end with a rectangular profile houses a battery, a communication module for wireless connectivity with handheld devices, a storage unit for storing audio data, a speaker for audio playback, and a charging port for recharging the internal battery. The smart writing tool allows users to write, store, and play audio data, offering a multifunctional solution for note-taking, transcription, and other tasks, combining physical writing with digital interaction in a single device."
