MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531131606 A) filed by Amity University, Patna, Bihar, on Dec. 24, 2025, for 'smart textile drying system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart textile drying system, comprising (1) smart rope assembly with integrated conductive textile threads woven throughout enabling distributed moisture measurement at 1-meter intervals; (2) motorized winding box with electromechanical slip ring enabling continuous signal transmission during automated rope retraction within 40 seconds of rainfall detection; (3) solar-powered smart control unit with Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller processing sensor data and executing real-time algorithms, powered by 10W solar panel and 10 Wh battery providing 7-10 day autonomy; (4) comprehensive environmental sensor suite measuring rain, air quality (PM2.5, PM10, VOC), solar intensity, humidity, and temperature; and (5) adaptive evaporation-based prediction algorithm achieving 15 minute drying completion prediction accuracy with continuous machine learning improvement every 20 cycles."
