MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114910 A) filed by Baba Farid College Of Engineering And Technology; and Baba Farid College, Bathinda, Punjab, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'smart system for crop management and disease prediction and a method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Er. Gulabdeep Kaur Brar; Er. Sumeet Bharti; Dr. Nitika; Harpreet Singh; Kamalveer Kaur; Mamandeep Singh; and Karan Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed system (100) comprises a sensing unit (102) configured to sense first through fourth set of parameters. Further, the system (100) comprises a user device (104) and a data processing apparatus (106) communicatively coupled to the sensing unit (102). The data processing apparatus (106) comprises a processing circuitry (108), and a database (110). The processing circuitry (108) may be configured to receive first through fourth set of parameters followed by receiving fifth set of parameters from the user device (104) and consolidating the first through fifth set of parameters to prepare an integrated data set for comparing the integrated data set with respective predefined data using one or more pretrained multi-modal neural network architectures. Further, the processing circuitry (108) interprets the comparison results to predict the crop disease and to provide insights for crop management and finally generate one or more notifications and one or more suggestions for the user."
