MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641016999 A) filed by Sri Krishna College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 16, for 'smart structural design system integrating building information modeling for enhanced accuracy and collaboration.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. R. Hemavathi; Tsk Abishekraj; Akshaya Darun V; Bhaavesh Baarathvaaj B; and Kaviraj S.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart structural design system integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) for enhanced accuracy, automation, and collaboration in construction projects. The system comprises a centralized BIM model (100) that integrates architectural data (101), structural data (102), and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing data (103) into a unified digital environment. An automated structural analysis and load calculation module (110) performs real-time structural evaluation, while a clash detection and simulation module (112) identifies interdisciplinary conflicts and constructability issues. An intelligent reporting and documentation module (114) automatically generates drawings, schedules, and analytical reports from the BIM model. A self-learning design feedback module (118) analyzes historical design data to provide predictive optimization recommendations. A collaborative user interface (120) enables real-time interaction among architects (122), engineers (124), and contractors (126). The invention improves design accuracy, coordination, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle."
