MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124516 A) filed by Vardhaman College Of Engineering, Ranga Reddy, Telangana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'smart rehabilitation support system using motion-tracking ai models.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rameshkumar Gajula; Mr. Rajkumar; Dr. Shanmugasundaram Ravivarman; Dr. Regulwar Ganesh Bhaiyya; Dr. Kanthala Uma; and Dr. Dadamiah PMD Shaik.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Smart Rehabilitation Support System Using Motion-Tracking AI Models is the proposed invention. The invention proposes a smart rehabilitation support system that employs AI-based motion tracking to guide patients through physiotherapy exercises with high accuracy and continuous monitoring. The system captures body movements using camera sensors or wearable devices and extracts skeletal joint positions through advanced pose-estimation algorithms. Real-time motion analysis is performed to evaluate posture alignment, range of motion, and exercise correctness against physiotherapist-defined standards. When deviations or improper movements are detected, the system provides instant corrective feedback through visual cues, audio alerts, or augmented reality overlays, ensuring safe and effective exercise execution."
