MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122486 A) filed by Dr. Vinod Kumar P; and Atme College Of Engineering, Mysuru, Karnataka, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'smart microcontroller-integrated pulses weigh-fill automation system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Vinod Kumar P; Ambika V; Dr Hussana Johar R B; Dr. Praveen Kumar M; Dr. Neethi M V; Shreeshayana R; Dr. Anitha D B; and Dr. Parthasarathy L.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention titled Smart Microcontroller-Integrated Pulses Weigh-Fill Automation System introduces a low-cost automated solution for small and medium food producers who rely on manual weighing, filling, and sealing of products. Traditional manual methods, including candle-based sealing, are slow, labour-intensive, and inconsistent, limiting production capacity and overall efficiency. This invention incorporates a weighing sensor for accurate measurement, a controlled dispensing unit for automated filling, and a sealing mechanism that replaces manual sealing. A microcontroller acts as the central unit, managing functions such as weight detection, motor operation, dispensing control, and heating for the sealing process. After the operator places an empty pouch in the holder, the machine completes weighing, filling, and sealing automatically. The system reduces human effort, saves time, and delivers faster and more consistent packaging. Its simple design and low cost offer an affordable alternative to expensive industrial machines, helping small and medium businesses improve productivity and modernize their operations."
