Inventor(s) include S. D. Vijayakumar; Karthi V; Yuvarani M; Saranya R; T. Velmurugan; Shanmugham M; Prakash M; K. S. Murugesan; G. Brinda; and Praveenkumar R.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a smart logistics system that integrates Internet of Things (loT) devices with artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to optimize transportation routes in real-time. The system comprises a network of loT-enabled sensors and tracking modules installed in transport vehicles and cargo units to continuously monitor parameters such as vehicle location, traffic conditions, fuel consumption, load status. and environmental conditions. Data collected from these loT devices is securely transmitted to a cloud-based processing unit, where advanced AI algorithms, including predictive analytics and machine learning models, are employed to dynamically determine the most efticient delivery routes. The system further incorporates adaptive decision-making to account for sudden disruptions, including traffic congestion, road closures, weather changes, and delivery priority constraints. In addition, the system provides a centralized dashboard that enables logistics operators and fleet managers to visualize and control fleet operations 111 real-time. By reducing delays, minimizing fuel consumption, and optimizing load distribution, the proposed invention improves operational etliciency, lowers costs, and contributes to sustainable logistics practices."
