A display interface is provided on the container body and is configured to present real-time hydration information including intake, timing, and system status. In an embodiment, the system includes a cartridge identification mechanism configured to detect and identify the infusion cartridge. The system further comprises a sealing system and a locking interface configured to provide leak-proof engagement between components. The system is configured to operate in a cartridge-enabled mode and a non-cartridge mode, thereby providing flexibility of use."
